Having spent 24 years directing high school theatre, Gina Moore chose to leave the traditional classroom setting in 2007 to focus full-time on program development and curriculum writing for Crosswalk’s work in juvenile detention centers and later for ARTreach 180, a therapeutic arts program first used in her work with youth at risk and juvenile offenders. Throughout her career in education, social work, and expressive therapy, Gina has often used the arts to help adolescents with emotion regulation, conflict resolution, and self- awareness. Passionate about the need for Social-Emotional Learning opportunities for teens, she remains committed to using creative strategies to steer adolescents from risk to resilience.
