Site Director Job Description

The Site Director of ARTreach 180 will be expected to perform the following tasks during the course of the program, September through December and/or January through May:

  • Secure and oversee meeting space, and ensure that conditions of use are clarified in an MOU signed by Crosswalk’s Executive Director and authorized representative of meeting space
  • Alert Director of Programs of any vacancies and assist in the hiring process
  • Account for all expenditures, keep accurate records and receipts, and exercise due diligence in spending
  • Ensure that student safety is a priority and be aware of any liability issues,including but not limited to having signed waivers of liability for each youth onsite at all times
  • Actively seek community partners and donors to cover meals for your site
  • Assist in coordinating give-back events, field trips, and showcases
  • Coordinate staff meetings as needed and advise Director of Programs of time and location
  • Attend planning sessions with other site directors, art and drama teachers, and Director of Programs several weeks prior to the start of each semester; provide supply list to Director of Programs following planning
  • Compile a semester overview with Jump Starts, team-building, & art/drama projects as designated by Director of Programs prior to the semester
  • Submit written session plans every session using the Lesson Plan template provided, delegating facilitation of each activity to various staff to ensure a team approach; send plans to DOP and the rest of staff
  • Communicate frequently with the Director of Programs to apprise of program enrollment, activities, problems, victories, staff morale, absences of paid contractors, and any changes in schedule that arise
  • Keep Incident Reports, Worker’s Comp information, Discipline Forms, and Emergency Plans on-site at all times, and ensure that they are completed andfiled following any incident that occurs

Assistant Site Director Job Description

The assistant site director for ARTreach 180 will be expected to perform the following tasks during the course of the program, September through December and/or January through May.

  • Monitor all intake forms, referral forms, and liability waivers and assure that copies are filed on-site at all times
  • Communicate often with parents and/or probation officers to keep them informed of student progress, upcoming events, and make inquiries about student absences and tardies
  • Conduct intake and exit interviews as requested by Director
  • Keep accurate attendance records and monitor sign-in and sign-out process
  • Complete daily reports and email them to the Director of Programs as requested
  • Help facilitate Jump Start activities with Site Director
  • Ensure that pre-tests, post-tests, and other student evaluations are completed by all youth and that results are tallied and reported accurately to the Director of Programs
  • Help youth with art and drama projects and participate actively
  • Use program time to build relationships with youth
  • Assist with give-back events, field trips, and performance nights as needed
  • Be on-site 2 days a week (Tuesday & Thursday)
  • Work a maximum of 10 hours per week, when school is in session
