REACH 180 Programs Assistant Job Description
Under the leadership of the Programs & Site Director, the Reach 180 Programs Assistant is responsible for collaboration, implementation, and assisting in the supervision of the ‘reach 180’ programs of Crosswalk Ministries USA Inc., including scheduling, delivery, personnel management assistance, program promotion, events/outreach coordination, and various administrative tasks as directed.
This position is based on site, 40 weeks out of the year, with some flexibility to work remotely with supervisor approval.
Planning:
- Coordinate delivery of programs and age-appropriate activities in accordance with the mission and goals of Crosswalk Ministries USA.
- Collaborate on new initiatives and long-term goals to support the strategic direction of the organization
- Assist in the development of an annual budget and operating plan for each program to ensure the continuous delivery of services
- Enforce and communicate policies, procedures, and safety guidelines for all programs to ensure that all activities operate within the policies and procedures of the organization
- Maintain schedules for staff and volunteers to ensure safe and competent delivery of services
- Develop and update forms and records to document program activities and track data
Leading:
- Work as an integral part of the campus day-to-day sessions, leading as scheduled and assigned, and giving feedback to Programs & Site Director as to any changes and or needed changes
- Identify relevant conferences, workshops, and seminars to keep abreast of trends in the field and present to the Programs & Site Director for approval
- Communicate and cultivate relationships with community stakeholders to gain support for the programs and to solicit input to improve the programs
- Assist in the planning and execution of annual give-back projects, field trips, and showcases
- Collaborate with fundraising staff to ensure grants and other materials align with program goals and outcomes
- Act as a community engagement/development representative at local events
- Assume duties as directed during Programs & Site Director’s absence
Reporting:
- Submit grant reports with data from tracking methods as well as reimbursement requests and required receipts
- Maintain all campus paperwork as assigned, including daily reports, student intake forms, student evaluations, and any other paperwork as deemed necessary to the fidelity and benefit of the programs and organization and turn in to Director of Programs
- Attend staff meetings every other week
- Attend any other meetings within the organization as scheduled
Promoting ARTreach 180 Curriculum and Expansion:
- Assist and contribute to publicizing and promoting Crosswalk’s programs through newsletters, social media, etc.
- Create presentations for meetings and continue to update presentation information to stay relevant as directed
General Support of Administrative Staff:
- Assist with organizational fundraising events
- Contribute to the production of newsletter articles and other promotional materials
- Assist Programs & Site Director with program budget development
- Assume duties as directed during Director of Programs absence
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivilent
- Associates Degree or college level coursework in Social Work, Education, Counseling, or Psychology a plus
- Proficient in MS Office
- Strong communication, organizational and decision making skills
- A passion for social justice
- Emotionally intelligent and self-aware
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work with diverse populations required
- Driver’s license and favorable background check is required
Experience
- Experience working with children and/or youth in a structured setting
